Meet Soviet T34-84 at the Ontario Regiment Museum! This event includes a special reveal ceremony and a Tank Talk on this interesting military vehicle. Museum is open 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with the Tank Talk at 1:00 PM Get up close and see this iconic military vehicle in person! Join us for a magical trip where York-Durham Heritage Railway will be providing service to the North Pole onboard THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride this holiday season. The magical story comes to life starting in our enchanted Christmas tent with a magical tree lighting followed with the train one hour round-trip train ride to the North Pole. Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, with singers and dancers passengers will relive the magic of the story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS™. Once onboard, hot chocolate and treats are served as passengers read along with the classic children’s book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg. Santa and his helpers greet passengers at the North Pole and then board the train, where everyone is given the first gift of Christmas. Pajamas for children of all ages is encouraged! Various dates.

Over the course of her first term at school, Matilda and Miss Honey have a profound effect on each other’s lives, as Miss Honey begins not only to recognize but also appreciate Matilda’s extraordinary personality. Matilda’s school life isn’t completely smooth sailing, however – the school’s mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don’t abide by her rules.
