Little trick or treaters can check out Halloween Haunt at the Kids Safety Village in Whitby from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26, 2019! The Kids of Durham Region and their parents are all invited to wear their costumes and walk the spooky streets of the Kids’ Safety Village to collect some treats. Firehouse Fright Night is back and the theme for 2019 is the movie IT! Explore interactive, spooky scenes with over 60 live creatures, and the entire event is run by volunteers from your community with all the proceeds go to supporting the Firehouse Youth Centre and the United Way. October 19.

Trafalgar Castle School is excited to host the School’s annual Haunted Castle on Friday, October 25! Tour times run from 5:30 – 7 p.m. and 7:30 – 9 p.m. This spooktacular student-led initiative is open to the community and is expected to bring people out from all over Durham Region for an evening of frightening fun! Proceeds from this event will be donated to Make a Wish Foundation. The event will feature a tour through the Castle where behind every door and creaking floorboard fear awaits. Tickets for the event are $10 (+ convenience fee) per person. Purchase your tickets online IN ADVANCE as NO tickets will be available at the door. Due the scary nature of this event, it is recommended for children over the age of 10. Make a donation of a non-perishable food item and receive a ticket for one free snack. All food items will be donated to Simcoe Hall Settlement House.
