RMG Fridays returns to the Robert McLaughlin Gallery! Enjoy musical performances by folk rock outfit ‘I, the Mountain’ and local indie sensation ‘Wooly’, this free community event features the opening of Wes Peel’s new exhibition Oshawa Assembly as well as short-film screenings courtesy of the Durham Region International Film Festival. All or Nothing Brewhouse will be on-site pouring samples in addition to the cash bar, and The Bollywood Tacos crew brings a selection of their unique fusion of Mexican and Indian cuisine. Head to the Ontario Regiment Museum for Tank Saturday! Celebrate the regiment’s 100th birthday, explore the museum, check out the Military Vehicle Conservation Centre with over 60 military vehicles and Tanks on display, and don’t miss the live vehicle demonstration at 1 pm! September 7 2019.

On this walking tour, actors will bring stories to life, portraying people from Oshawa’s past and celebrating these exceptional individuals. The Ontario Regiment RCAC invites residents to attend a Parade and witness their Change of Command ceremony. The parade will kick of from the R.S McLaughlin Armoury at 53 Simcoe St North and proceed to Oshawa City Hall at 50 Simcoe St South to arrive for the 2:00 PM ceremony. Guests are asked to be at Civic Square and seated by 1:45 PM. September 8, 2019.

Celebrate Sam McLaughlin’s birthday at Parkwood Estate! On September 8, each person who brings in a non-perishable food donation will receive 50% off the Auto-Baron’s Tour. All food collected will be donated to the YWCA Durham-Adelaide House, which is one of Sam and Adelaide’s philanthropic legacies in Oshawa.
