It’s time for Tank Saturday at the Ontario Regiment RCAC Museum! Enjoy Tank Saturday: Blitzkrieg, a new theme with some very unique and new additions to the collection at the Ontario Regiment RCAC Museum. Admission includes access to the museum that houses artifacts, medals, weapons and uniforms covering 150+ years of military history from the Fenian Raids of 1866 to the conflicts of today. Explore the Military Vehicle Conservation Centre with over 60 military vehicles and Tanks on display. Plus a live vehicle demonstration with Tanks and Armoured vehicles, followed by a knock-out finale and simulated Tank Battle! July 6 2019. Gates open at 10 am. Canadian Tire Mosport Park in Bowmanville is hosting the 2019 Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix presented by Acura. Canada’s biggest sports car race of the year, the Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix, features the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for exotic prototype and GT race cars, in their only north-of-the-border stop. The Canadian Automotive Museum is hosting a Downtown Automotive Walking Tour! Oshawa has been home to the McLaughlin Carriage Company, McLaughlin Motor Company, and General Motors of Canada, but today only a few remnants of the city’s former industrial past remain in the downtown core. Expert guides will explore the streetscape and bring to life the people and places that made Oshawa “Canada’s Motor City.” This event is included with regular museum admission, members free. It’s Sunday FUNday at the Oshawa Museum! Join Visitor Hosts in the Henry House Heritage Gardens for an afternoon of garden tours and plant based activities.
