If flowers aren’t your mom’s thing, Durham Region Roller Derby is hosting a night of women’s full contact roller derby! Durham Region’s DRRD’y Farmers will take on the Garden City Rollers @ 5 p.m. followed by the Motor City Madames vs. Rebel Affliction @ 7 p.m in their second SODA game! Doors open @ 4:30 p.m. Tickets will be available for $10 in advance, and $12 at the door. If your mom prefers tanks over tea, check out Tank Saturday at the Ontario Regiment Museum! Catch the live military vehicle show at 1 pm, and explore the Tank Museum, plus vendors and displays. Bring Mom to see the Queen this Mother’s Day at the Canadian Automotive Museum! Snap a family photo with a cutout of Queen Elizabeth II in front of a 1969 Daimler limousine once used by the Royal Family. Complimentary tea and biscuits will be available to celebrate this royal Mother’s Day event.  At 1pm learn about the contributions of women in automotive history and royal connections to the collection during a tour of the museum’s galleries. Step back in time at the Pickering Museum Village for Mother’s Day Tea! Tea, sandwiches, and sweets are on the menu for this special day. Every mother will receive a small token at her table. The Robert McLaughlin Gallery is hosting a buffet Mother’s Day Brunch, catered by Farm and Wild! Two seatings available. May 12 2019. 72 Queen Street, Oshawa. $50 Adult $25 Child.
