Check out the annual Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival! They collect sap from 800 Maple Trees and boil it on site to make delicious Maple Syrup. Come catch the magic, listening to the tall tales of Lakeview Park as brought to life by the Durham Storytellers at the Oshawa Museum event Legends and Lore of Lakeview Park! In honour of World Storytelling Day, legends and lore of the lakefront will be shared, inspired by the whimsical artwork created by local artist Eric Sangwine. Sangwine colourfully depicts the stories, and the talented Durham Storytellers will put their own spins on the stories, staying true to the oral traditions of storytellers. Tickets are $10/person; as the number of tour spots for each group time is limited, we urge you to purchase your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Please be aware there are different start times for this event.
