What’s On Oshawa Weekend February 9 & 10 2019

Be part of the roar and support the Ontario Parasport Games 2019! Join the opening ceremonies on February 8 2019 at 7:30 pm at the Abilities Centre in Whitby (everyone is welcome an d admission is FREE!), then catch one of the many parasport events taking place throughout Durham Region on February 9, and medal games and closing ceremonies on Feb. 10. Head to the Ontario Regiment Museum for Winter Warfare, a brand new Tank Saturday event! Admission includes access to the museum that houses artifacts, medals, weapons and uniforms covering 150+ years of military history from the Fenian Raids of 1866 to the conflicts of today. Explore the Military Vehicle Conservation Centre with over 60 military vehicles and Tanks on display, plus enjoy a live vehicle demonstration with Tanks and Armoured vehicles! Romance is alive and well at the Canadian Automotive Museum Valentine’s Day weekend! Bring your “love bug”  for a tour of the gallery featuring automotive love stories. Expert tour guide Bob will explore stories of love and loss related to automobiles on display. Discover the history behind the iconic Rolls-Royce’s hood ornament, learn the intriguing tale behind a Canadian knight and an Italian countess, and hear the last romantic words of Isadora Duncan before her untimely death in a Bugatti.
