Start the weekend at RMG Fridays! RMG Friday will kick off Black History Month in Oshawa by presenting the smooth stylings of DD Francois and the electric poetry of Dwayne Morgan. Enjoy a night full of spirited entertainment featuring performances by acclaimed artists, a Driff in a Jiff’s showing of “The Little Fish and the Crocodile” by Stephanie Plattner in the lower level, and a guided exhibition tour of “Riveting Women” curated by Alex Petrie. Flex your creative muscles with our In-Style Textiles workshop and enjoy tasty creations available for purchase from Durham College’s Bistro ’67. Don’t miss hands-on creative fun in the Studio! Get down to The Music Hall Concert Theatre for a night of classic soul, funk, R&B, and Motown music, delivered by the 9-pieces of power known as the Professors Of Funk! Feb. 1 2019. 39 King Street East, Oshawa. $10 at the door / 9PM / 19+

Evil Dead: The Musical! hits the stage at Mansfield’s Cabaret and ALL seats are in the splatter zone! Feb. 1 & 2 2019 (runs Feb – April).  7:30 pm. 50 Bond Street East, Oshawa. $40. 

The Oshawa Little Theatre presents Office Hours, a hysterically funny comedy by Norm Foster! Feb. 2 2019 (ongoing until Feb. 16 2019). Various times. 62 Russet Ave., Oshawa. $25/$15. 

The Oshawa Civic Band will perform a potpourri style concert of great brass band music at Simcoe St. United Church. Feb. 2 2019. 7:30 pm – 9 pm. 66 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa.  Admission is free, but donations are welcomed! 

Head to the Oshawa Museum for Sunday FUNday and learn about how far back butter production goes, interact with our unique butter making artefacts and taste test some home made butter made on site! Feb. 3 2019. Oshawa Museum, Lakeview Park. 12—4 pm in the Verna Conant Gallery at Guy House. FREE. All ages. 

In celebration of World Wetlands Day, Friends of Second Marsh are holding a guided hike! Meet in the south west corner of the west General Motors Headquarters parking lot, and don’t forget to lug a mug for hot chocolate! Dogs are not permitted at this event with the exception of service dogs.
