Montanas Tuesday is the day to save money at Montanas, where kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entree, all day and all night! Standard childrens’ menu fare like fish sticks, hamburgers and chicken fingers are available, plus shrimp skewers, chicken caesar salad, and pork back ribs, and all come with a side, drink, and dessert.  And as part of Montanas Kids Birthday Club, kids under 12 eat free on their birthday, just sign up online.  Location:  1377 Harmony Road North.

Boston Pizza It’s not free, but on Sunday, Boston Pizza reduces the price of their childrens’ meals to $4.99, and all meals come with a drink, side dish, make-your-own sundae, and an activity pack.  Families will find the usual suspects on the kids’ menu:  chicken fingers, pizza, spaghetti, burgers and mac and cheese, with veggies or fries on the side. AYCE Sushi All you can eat sushi is a departure from the french fry and burger-heavy traditional childrens’ menus, but many AYCE restaurants in Oshawa can offer good value for families, because at many the price per meal varies by age.  For example, a two-year-old would be charged $2, while a nine-year-old would cost you $9.  Just be mindful of ordering too much – you have to pay extra for food you don’t eat!  Location:  Various.
