What’s On Oshawa Weekend Dec 7-9 2018

You will be transported back in time to an underground bunker at Camp X on the shores of Lake Ontario…but how did you get here? Register a team for free and experience this digital, fully immersive, interactive escape room with a Camp X theme. Dec. 7-9 2018. 10 am to 4 pm, every 45 minutes. Head to the UOIT Regent Theatre for a dramatic reading of the Christmas classic, A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens. Using Dickens’ own public reading version he used on reading tours, enjoy a family adventure through Victorian England, plus fun carol singing throughout.  100% of net proceeds from this event will be donated to Simcoe Hall Settlement House in Oshawa. Canadian crooner Matt Dusk takes the stage at the UOIT Regent Theatre with an evening of old and new festive swagger inspired by the 1960s from his new album, Old School Yule. Dec. 8 2018. 8 pm. 50 King Street East. $40.

Grab the family because they’re taking the phrase “you are what you eat” to a whole new level this holiday season with some delicious artmaking! Experience a Children’s Old Fashioned Christmas hosted by the Scugog Shores Village Museum and Archives . Step back in time and tour through the historic village, traditionally decorated for the holidays with evergreen boughs, bright ribbons and berries, plus lots of activities for children!
