What’s On Oshawa Weekend September 7-9 2018

RMG Fridays is back after its summer vacation and they’re celebrating the return with The Professors Of Funk! Check out this free, family friendly evening of art and music. September 7 2018. Robert McLaughlin Gallery, 72 Queen Street, Oshawa. 7 pm to 9 pm. FREE. Donations accepted. 

It’s Tank Saturday at the Ontario Regiment Museum! Visit the Museum for a special Tank Saturday that honours the Ontario Regiment and their service to Canada for over 150 years. Admission includes access to the museum that houses artifacts, medals, weapons and uniforms covering 150 years of military history from the Fenian Raids of 1866 to the conflicts of today. Visit our vehicle bay to get up-close with our large collection of military vehicles and Tanks, plus watch the live vehicle demo at 1 pm. September 8 2018. 1000 Stevenson Road North, Oshawa. 10 am to 4 pm. Adults $10 Student/Senior $5, under 12s FREE. 

Treat that special grandparent to a family outing on-board the York Durham Heritage Railway!  On September 9 2018, grandparents ride for ½ price when accompanied by a fare-paying grandchild. The train departs Uxbridge Station at 10:00 am and 2:30 pm and from Stouffville at noon. There are boarding facilities in Uxbridge only for people requiring assistance.  Adults $27, children $19, student/senior $25 ($12.50 half price)

Support Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre in Oshawa and join the Ride for Hearth Place Poker Run! Enjoy the beautiful drive, starting in Oshawa, to Port Hope, Rice Lake-Muddy’s BBQ Pit, Port Perry and back to Mackie Harley-Davidson in Oshawa. $50 a rider, $25 a passenger or FREE for anyone who raises $200 or more in pledges. Continental Breakfast at Hearth Place, BBQ lunch at Mackie Harley-Davidson, door prizes, raffle prizes & Silent Auction Items. September 9 2018. 9 am to 3 pm. 83 Colborne Street, Oshawa. Adults only.
