Go back in time at Lynde House Museum in Whitby! Lynde House is offering a unique summer camp experience for children ages 6 to 10, and there are still spots available for full week, or half day campers! On August 11 from 1 pm to 4 pm, don’t miss In Time, an immersive historic escape game that runs every 15 minutes! You’ve been invited to hear the arguments for and against the growing rebellion, but who has invited you and what do they want? Groups are assigned a start time and have 60 minutes to complete all their tasks, view private discussions within the Lynde household between the characters, and if they are successful in their tasks, cast their vote!  FREE, donations gratefully accepted.  Please email your RSVP. 900 Brock Street South, Whitby. 

Visit the W. Galen Weston Centre for Food (CFF) and Bistro ’67 for a memorable field-to-fork experience at Feast of the Fields! Feast of the Fields is an exciting new event featuring food stations showcasing produce grown in the CFF gardens, guided garden tours led by students in the Horticulture – Food and Farming program, beverage stations featuring local wineries, distillers and breweries, fresh produce, flowers and student-prepared food will also be available for purchase in Pantry during the event for your shopping convenience. The City of Oshawa is hosting Market Squared every Wednesday until October 3, 2018 between 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., come out and enjoy local fresh produce, handmade artisan vendors, food, music and family activities located outside City Hall! Dance Kahncepts is hosting a workshop in contemporary lead on August 26 2018! The workshop is for ages 8 and up are choreography only so for the more experienced dancer.  Head to the website to register! Workshop runs from 6 pm to 8 pm and the cost is $30.
