What’s On Oshawa Weekend July 28 & 29 2018

It’s the inaugural year of the Crossing Point Festival – an exciting weekend of diverse Canadian music in the heart of the city of Oshawa,  The festival kicks off on Friday night, July 27, in beautiful Brick By Brick Park just on the southwestern corner of the city’s downtown. July 27 & 28, 2018.  Various times. 101 John St. W., Oshawa. It’s the final weekend to catch We Will Rock You at the Regent UOIT Theatre, presented by Dancyn Productions! This popular musical features music by Queen and Ben Elton, and follows the life of a group of free-spirits who are trying to break status quo in a town where everyone is the same and being a musician is forbidden. The energetic show is packed with hits from the legendary band Queen, including: “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Somebody to Love”, “I Want to Break Free”, and “We Will Rock You.” Saturday, July 28, 2018. 50 King Street East, Oshawa. $45. It’s Kids Day Weekend at the Canadian Automotive Museum! Bring your kids to the museum for an exciting day filled with arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt, family-friendly tours of the museum, and check out the star of Disney/Pixar’s Cars 3 – Lightning McQueen! Balloons with a Twist will be back this year giving away balloon creations to all the attendees. They’ll be onsite from 11am to 2pm both days.
