Join the expert guides at the Canadian Automotive Museum for a Automotive Downtown Oshawa Walking Tour! Your host will explore the streetscape and bring to life the people and places that made Oshawa “Canada’s Motor City.” The tour begins at the Canadian Automotive Museum, located in a former 1920s Chevrolet-Oakland car dealership. The Henry House Heritage Gardens at the Oshawa Museum are in full bloom and now is the time to see them in their entire splendor! Spartan Race, Canada’s favourite obstacle race series, is coming to Brimacome! Get ready for a muddy weekend that is fun for the entire family! Spartan Race is suitable for all fitness levels. For first timers can try the Sprint. This is Spartan’s most popular race with a distance of 5+ km and 20+ obstacles. Racers are encouraged to complete the race at their own pace. If you fail an obstacle along the way, you owe us 30 burpees before continuing on. Ready for more? The Super is 13+ km, 25+ obstacles, and is often hosted on a tougher terrain. For kids under 14, there are Spartan Kids races. These races are .8 to 3.2km in distance and have an emphasis on teamwork, fun and getting muddy! June 23 & 24 2018. Ski Brimacombe, 4098 Ganaraska, Clarington. 7:30 am to 6 pm. Head to Lynde House in Whitby for tea leaf readings! Homeward Bound Rescue hosts Canine Carnival 2018, an amazing day full of events for the whole family. Come on down to Lakeview Park and watch as your canine exercises his/her prey instinct, jumps through hoops and over hurdles and chases a lure around a contained course, dock diving, and much more! Visitors with two legs can enjoy a midway, vendors, and a dog fashion show. June 23 2018. 10 am to 4 pm. Lakeview Park, Oshawa. FREE. All proceeds from the Canine Carnival go toward the veterinary and other needs of the fosters in Homeward Bound Rescue’s care.
