The Oshawa Art Association presents their Annual Spring Art Festival! Explore the works of 70 local artists at this popular show.  April 27-29 2018. 10 am to 5 pm. 275 Conlin Rd. E., Oshawa, in the Council Hall at Camp Samac. Enter off Conlin Road. 

It’s Kids Movie Morning at The Simcoe Mall! Catch a free screening of the Disney Pixar movie Coco. Snacks and drinks provided. April 28 2018. 156 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa. 10:30 am. FREE. 

Head to Uxbridge for the annual Huck Finn Youth Fishing Day! The day starts at 9:15 am with the Huck Finn parade, and everyone is encouraged to wear a Huck Finn costume because parade participants will be eligible for special prizes, and will be granted access to a special VIP fishing area. Participants will be fishing in Elgin Pond, and children under 15 are invited to try their hand at fishing, with free bait available and fishing rods for loan. Last chance to catch The Dixie Swim Club at the Whitby Courthouse Theatre! Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships. Free from husbands, kids, and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina’s Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other’s lives. Love improv? Don’t miss The Yes Men Improv Comedy Troupe made up of Neil Crone,  Kevin Frank and Patrick McKenna when they hit the stage of the Oshawa Little Theatre!  The troupe are Second City Mainstage veterans and household names in the Canadian television and film biz. The Men collectively bring over a thousand years of Improv Comedy experience to the stage… in dog years! Come join them for a fantastic night filled with laughter and a ton of fun!  April 28, 2018. The City of Oshawa presents Together We Dance: a Dance Showcase Celebrating International Dance Day, when dancers from across Oshawa will come together to display and celebrate the diversity and excellence of dance. The event aims to advocate for the art of dance and movement, and also highlight the medium’s creative, expressive and technical capacities.In the event of rain, the event will be moved indoors to the Arts Resource Centre Auditorium (45 Queen St.).
