What’s On Oshawa Weekend Nov 11-12 2017

The Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremony takes place from the R.S. McLaughlin Armouries to the Memorial Park Cenotaph, leaving the Armouries at 10:25 am.  The ceremony at the cenotaph will begin at 11:00 a.m.  The event is being hosted by the City of Oshawa, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 and Royal Canadian Branch 637.  November 11 2017. 10:25 am. 53 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa. 

Head to the Arts Resource Centre for In (Roles We) Play, 11 short plays by 10 Canadians including plays by Shirley Barrie, David Gillies, Don Hannah (2), Karen Hines, Kate Lynch, Michael MacLean, Nick Mitchell, Sharon Pollock, José Teodoro and Judith Thompson. Presented by Durham Shoestring Performers. November 11 2017. Doors at 7:30 pm, curtain at 8 pm. $15. 

Harry Potter fans, this one’s for you! Don’t miss the Quidditch Canada Eastern Regional Championships right here at the Civic Recreation Complex. Spectators and students are welcomed and encouraged to come out and check out the action of this up-and-coming full contact sport! November 11 & 12 2017. Dive Source Scuba is holding their “Dive for a Cause” charity event in support of youth programs at Girls & Boys Club of Durham. Participants must pre-register by either calling Dive Source at 905-438-8566 or dropping by the shop. Participants must be able to swim and min. age is 13yrs old (with Parents permission) November 11 2017. 5 pm to 9 pm.
