Head to the Canadian Automotive Museum where Regina-based author and automotive journalist Dale Johnson will discuss his new book, The Last Best Car – The 67-X. The book tells the story of when legendary Hollywood car customizer George Barris was hired by Imperial Oil in Canada to create four exotic cars as prize giveaways at Esso service stations during Canada’s 100th birthday in 1967. It was part of a promotional campaign to emphasize family travel by car, when Canadians were taking to the roads like never before in order to make the trip to the world’s fair, Expo 67 in Montreal.
