What’s On Oshawa Weekend October 6 to 8 2017

The past, present, and future come together at RMG Fridays at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery! Revist classics with Fiùran and look at the collection with a contemporary twist.  Enjoy the opening reception and catalogue launch for LEGACIES, curated by Margaret Rodgers featuring work by Isabel McLaughlin and Alexandra Luke and new work by Teri Donovan and Gwen MacGregor.  Celebrate the opening reception for Urban Reflections: Abstract Paintings by Mark Williamson in Gallery A, then head to the Studio to , make an imprint and experiment with the Gelli printing process, take home a visual reminder of the special things in your life that make your mark.  October 6 2017. 7 pm to 10 pm. 72 Queen Street, Oshawa. All ages welcome! FREE. 

Check out Oshawa’s first Butter Tart Festival! There will be Butter Tart vendors plus lots of other community businesses. Hosted by Downtown Oshawa and the BIA.   October 7 2017. 12 pm to 4 pm. Located at the south parking lot of the Oshawa city hall.  Free parking! 

It’s Durham Comedy Month! Don’t miss the Stand Up Comedy Festival right here in Durham Region, featuring 20 Canadian Stand Up Comics – 5 different comics for each show! October 7 2017. 8 pm. Melanie Pringles, 80 Thickson Road South, Whitby. $19 per ticket.

Kids Zone Dance Party and Interactive Entertainment are hosting the Kids Glow Dance Party! They have 100 free tickets to give away, and admission includes a Free Glow stick, black lights and an interactive DJ, dancing, games and much more. Message through Facebook for more information.
