What’s On Oshawa Weekend April 28-30 2017

Support local artists at the Oshawa Art Association’s 4th Spring Art Festival! Explore the 70 artists will showcase their best work at Camp Samac. April 28-30 2017. 10 am to 5 pm. Enter through 275 Conlin Road East, Oshawa. FREE. 

The Ontario Philharmonic presents For the Love of Mozart at the UOIT Regent Theatre. April 29 2017. 8 pm. Tickets $45 and $56.

Local group We Grow Food is looking for volunteers to help with Group Clean-Up Day at Oshawa’s newest community garden, Alexandra’s Bounty! Please bring rakes, shovels, wheel barrows, garbage bags, drills, lots of cardboard for the base of the new gardens. There’s lots of work to do, including building compost bins, finish beds, installing ground beds and donor plaques, raking, and planting berry bushes. April 29 2017. Located on Simcoe Street, just north of Lakeridge Health Oshawa on the west side. 10 am to 2 pm. 

Head to the LivingRoom Community Art Studio and turn an old book into a brand new work of art!  If you have an old book lying around that needs some new life, or maybe a journal/sktechbook that cold be personalized, bring them along! April 29 2017. 149 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa. 12 pm to 2 pm All ages and abilities welcome. $5 suggested donation or Pay-What-You-Like in support of the studio project.
