The Harlem Globetrotters will be performing at the Tribute Communities Centre! The star-studded roster will have fans on the edge of their seats to witness the ball handling wizardry, basketball artistry and one-of-a-kind family entertainment that thrills fans of all ages.  April 21 2017. 99 Athol Street East, Oshawa. 7 pm. Help the 7th Oshawa Scout Group get to the Canadian Jamboree in Nova Scotia! This fundraiser needs your e-waste items, like old laptops, tablets, monitors, or tvs (call to arrange pick up of really big ones!), and remember to clear off your personal data first! Celebrate Earth Day by learning about alternative energy vehicles at the Canadian Automotive Museum. The tour will cover electric, steam, and even horse power! Guides will also engage visitors with current discussions of toll roads, carbon taxes, and the future of the car in Canada. Make a DIY bird feeder at The LivingRoom Community Art Studio using old jars, found objects and macrame techniques! April 22 2017. 12 pm to 2 pm. 149 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa.  All ages and abilities welcome. $5 suggested donation or Pay-What-You-Like in support of the studio project. The Moustache Club is hosting the 3rd Annual MS Benefit Show, with proceeds going to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. Catch great local bands, and support a good cause! April 22 2017.  15 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa 9 pm to 1 am. $10

The Whitby Courthouse Theatre presents Things My Mother Taught Me, a funny and touching play that will make you laugh out loud and fall in love all over again. April 22 2017. 2 pm and 8 pm. 416 Centre Street South, Whitby. $27. 

Attention gamers! Check out the Durham Video Game Convention, a family friendly event featuring multiple vendors and dealers from across central Ontario. Vendors will be selling, bu ying, and trading all facets of video game culture including games, systems, accessories, and memorabilia. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favourite video game, comic book, movie, or pop culture character. Everyone dressed in costume will be admitted for half price!
