The Whitby Courthouse Theatre presents, Things My Mother Taught Me, a hilarious, sentimental, and tearful production, with a who’s-who of all-star actors from Durham region. April 13-19 2017.  2 pm and 8 pm. 416 Centre Street, Whitby. $27. 

Catch Legally Blond:  The Musical, on stage at the Oshawa Little Theatre!  Until April 22, 2017. Various times. 62 Russett Ave., Oshawa. $28. 

Visit the Oshawa Centre’s Enchanted Garden! With bridges, ponds and magical paths this spring attraction has something for everyone!  Visit with all of the fun characters including Lady Bug, Bubble Bee and Dragon Fly. All fairies, pixies and gnomes are invited to dress up in their favourite spring costume too.  April 13, 15, 17 2017. Oshawa Centre. 11 am to 7 pm. FREE. 

Hunt for Easter eggs and visit with the Easter Bunny at Rekker’s Garden Centre! The hunt is for kids aged 8 and under, but bigger kids can help their siblings and visit with the Bunny.  Families are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for our local food bank to the event! April 14 2017. 9 am to 10 am. 2258 Highway 2, Bowmanville.  FREE. 

Head to Pingles Farm for an Easter Egg and Scavenger Hunt! Little ones (up to age 6) can hunt for eggs, while kids ages 7-12 can pick up a scavenger hunt passport and map, plus crafts, tractor wagon ride (weather permitting), and a visit with the Easter Bunny. Children will trade their plastic eggs for a special treat in the greenhouse and plant a seed to take home for their garden.  April 13-15 2017. 805 Taunton Road East, Hampton. Children $10.99 Adults $8.99. 

Catch the family film Hop at Cineplex Family Favourites! April 15 2017. 11 am. Cineplex Theatres, 1351 Grandview Street North, Oshawa. $2.99 per ticket. 

Head to the Canadian Automotive Museum  for a fun and informative tour! Discover the stories behind the cars on display beyond the standard label text. This tour is included with admission and is approximately one hour in length. Perfect for all ages and prior knowledge levels.  April 15 2017. 1 pm to 2 pm. 99 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa. Adults $10, Students $8, Children $5. 

The Salvation Army Oshawa Temple is throwing a FREE Fun Day, including an Easter egg hunt, children’s crafts, music, snacks/drinks, bouncy castles and inflatable obstacle course, and lots more! April 15 2017. 1 pm to 3 pm. 570 Thornton Rd. N., Oshawa. FREE.

The Kids Safety Village of Durham Region is hosting an Easter Egg Extravaganza! Join the Easter egg hunt, and check out displays from Durham Region Police Services. You may even run into a horse or two! April 15 2017. 1129 Athol Street, Whitby. 10 am to 2 pm. Egg hunt begins at 10 am. Free, but donations to the Kids Safety Village are gratefully accepted. 

The Oshawa Airport Lions Club hosts an Easter Egg-stravaganza at the Oshawa Executive Airport! Come out for a day of fun, pony rides, games, and more! The Easter Bunny arrives by plane at 1 pm, and the hunt for 8000 candy-filled eggs begins shortly after. April 16 2017. 1200 Airport Road, Oshawa. 11:30 am to 2 pm. $10 per family, cash only at the gates.  

Take an Easter-themed tour of Lynde House Museum, and get an Easter treat! Children accompanied by parents are invited to go on a tour with a twist through the rooms of Lynde House Museum.  After the tour, children receive their Easter treats as an award in the Visitor Centre. April 15 2017. Staggered tours start on the hour between 11 am and 4 pm. 900 Brock Street South, Whitby. FREE, donations accepted. 

Join the community-wide Easter Egg Hunt by Fellowship Oshawa! Following the 11 am Easter Sunday service in the gym of David Bouchard school, there will be a giant Easter egg hunt on the lawn. There will be two hunts, one for ages 1-5, one for ages 6-12, and bring your own Easter egg basket! April 16 2017. 11 am to 1:15 pm. 460 Wilson Road South, Oshawa.
