What’s On Oshawa Weekend April 1- 2 2017

 

Get creative at The LivingRoom Community Art Studio and make your own beads out of fabric scraps & thread! April 1 2017. 12 pm. 149 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa. $5 or pay what you can to support The LivingRoom project. All ages welcome. 

Check out the 2017 Popsicle Stick Bridge Competition!  Watch teams of local students in grades 4 to 8 test out their bridges to see which one can hold the most weight.  April 1 2017. 11 am. UOIT/Durham College, 2000 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa. 

Join one of the Canadian Automotive Museum‘s expert tour guides and explore the highlights of the Canadian Automotive Museum collection! Discover the stories behind the cars on display beyond the standard label text. This tour is included with admission and is approximately one hour in length. Perfect for all ages and prior knowledge levels. April 1 2017. 1 pm – 2 pm. 99 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa.  Adults $10 Children $5, under-5s FREE. 

The Oshawa Skating Club presents Everything is Coming Up Disney, featuring the club’s skaters. April 1 2017. 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Campus Ice Centre, 2200 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa. $12 in advance, $15 at the door.

It’s Kenny vs. Spenny live at the UOIT Regent Theatre. Kenny and Spenny (a.k.a. Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice) continue where they left off on their hit television series, competing for victory in insane challenges that see the best friends try to humiliate one another live on stage.  April 1 2017. 50 King Street East. 9 pm. $45. Climb aboard the Trash Train with the Whitby  Station Gallery crew! Upcycle and make extraordinary art right in the Gallery with materials that were headed for the trash. Stay as little or as long as you like for this drop-in program. April  2 2017. 11 am to 2 pm. FREE. Pre-registration encouraged. All ages welcome! 

Head back in time at the Oshawa Museum for Sunday FUNday! Get comfy and listen to popular Victorian stories for children, or get dressed up as a Victorian child.  Story times are 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. Adults must stay with their children. The LivingRoom Community Art Studio is commemorating World Autism Day with jigsaw piece art, communication badges and learning about living on the spectrum with help from studio member and autism advocate Lisa K!  April 2 2017. 149 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa. All ages & abilities are welcome. $5, or a pay what you can in support of the studio project. 

It’s time for Club Carib of Oshawa’s Annual Spring Brunch!
