Join the Station Gallery for an evening of beer, art + vinyl, a release party for the ‘Tortured Artist’, a vanilla porter beer by 5 Paddles Brewing Co. in collaboration with Station Gallery!  Featuring, DJ Brendan Lawless, Beer Talk by Ian Mills of 5 Paddles Brewing Co., Art Exhibitions, Art Talk by SG Curator Olex Wlasenko, beer sampling and snacks. The Oshawa Little Theatre presents A Man For All Seasons, the classic play based on the true story of Sir Thomas More, the 16th-century Chancellor of England, who refused to endorse King Henry VIII’s wish to divorce his wife Catherine of Aragon so that he could marry Anne Boleyn, the sister of his former mistress.  Until February 18, 2017. 62 Russet Avenue, Oshawa. $25. 

Get out of the cold and watch the family movie Oddball, part of Cineplex Family Favourites! February 11, 2017. Cineplex Theatres, 1351 Grandview Street North, Oshawa.  11 am. $2.99 per ticket. 

Bring your “love bug” by the Canadian Automotive Museum for a tour of the gallery featuring automotive love stories. Expert tour guides will explore stories of love and loss related to automobiles on display. Discover the history behind the iconic Rolls-Royce’s hood ornament, learn the intriguing tale behind a Canadian knight and a Italian countess, and hear the last romantic words of Isadora Duncan before her untimely death in a Bugatti.  February 11, 2017. 1 pm. 99 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa. Get crafty at The LivingRoom Community Art Studio! Create a love box for yourself or someone you feel needs a little encouragement or support. February 11, 2017.  149 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa. 12 pm to 2 pm.  All ages and abilities are welcome. Suggested donation of $10 or Pay-What-You-Like in support of the LivingRoom project.
