Get festive with the Chris Culgin Duo and the Tim Watson Trio, make an ugly stick in the studio, check out the new exhibitions, and stop by our table in the lobby for a treat and to say hello! The County Town Singers present We Wish You A Merry Christmas! This 70-strong choir will perform holiday favourites in Trinity Pentecostal Church on December 2, 2016 at 8pm, and on December 3, 2016 at 2pm. 900 King Street East, Oshawa. Adults $20, Seniors $15, Children under 12 $5. Available at the door.  

Enjoy a Victorian Evening by Candlelight at Lynde House Museum in Whitby.  Guests meet in the Visitor Centre to enjoy the traditional holiday décor, then tour Lynde House Museum by the light of flickering candles. December 2, 2016.  Tours at 7 pm and at 8pm.  900 Brock Street South, Whitby. 

Missed Oshawa’s Tree Lighting Ceremony? Head to Celebration Square in Whitby for their Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, plus free family entertainment, crafts, hot chocolate, and, of course, a visit from the big guy himself at 6:30 pm.  December 2, 2016. 405 Dundas Street West, Whitby, in front of the Whitby Public Library. 6 pm to 8 pm. FREE. 

The Canadian Automotive Museum pops the hoods on some of their iconic vehicles at their annual Holiday Open House! Enjoy live music by Toronto-based jazz pianist Jonah Cristall-Clake, and take a look at the recently acquired 1955 Buick Special.  Holiday crafts for kids, plus complimentary tours of the museum and refreshments will be available.  December 2, 2016. 5 pm to 8 pm.  FREE (but donations gratefully accepted). 

Whitby’s Santa Claus Parade rolls into town on December 3, 2016, with marching bands, dance groups, floats, clowns, musical entertainment, and Santa himself! 10 am to 12 pm. FREE. 

Experience Victorian Christmas at Lynde House Museum with a guided tour! Lynde House is all dressed up for the holidays, and tours run at 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm.  December 3, 2016. 900 Brock Street South, Whitby. 

Step back in time at the Oshawa Museum’s Annual Lamplight Tour, plus the chance to take a photo with Father Christmas in the Drive Shed. This popular event is December 3, 2016, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Admission is $5 per person.  Lakeview Park, Oshawa. 

Hypnotist Mike Mandel hits the stage at the UOIT Regent Theatre for an entertaining show full of his trademark mental hijinks.  December 3, 2016. 50 King Street East, Oshawa. 8 pm to 10 pm. $40. Plenty of great seats still available. 

The Station Gallery hosts the Underground Studio, a hands-on art session for youth ages 11 – 15. 1450 Henry Street, Whitby.  December 4, 2016. 1 pm to 4 pm. $10. Registration required.
