There’s no better way to kick off the holiday season than with a good, ol’ fashioned East Coast kitchen party at the RMG! On Friday, December 2, 2016, the Robert McLaughlin Gallery will throw open its doors and bring out the Ugly Sticks for RMG Fridays, a night of music, film, and hands-on art for the whole family.
And who’s going to be there as a community partner? Well, us of course! Stop by the What’s On Oshawa table in the lobby for a chance to say hi, grab a button, and play a Gaelic guessing game. If you get it right (and even if you don’t, because we’re nice like that!), you can grab a sweet treat to take home.
RMG Fridays is all ages event, and families are encouraged to visit the Studio to make an Ugly Stick, a traditional homemade percussion instrument crafted from everyday items. Get in the festive spirit with the help of the Chris Culgin Duo and the Trish Robb Trio, tour the exhibition Robert Bourdeau: Edge of the Visible, and check out the opening in Gallery A, Hillary Matt: Chances and Dangers.
Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, 72 Queen Street, Oshawa. 7 pm – 10 pm. All ages. Cash bar.
