Ready for Halloween? Head to Bowmanville for a Spirit Walk, hosted by the Clarington Museum.  Walks are held every Wednesday through Saturday from October 5 until October 29. See and hear live chilling tales of strange urban mysteries as you take a guided walking tour of Bowmanville’s most haunted sites. New this year – live acting vignettes as you go along your tour. 7 pm to 9 pm. Tickets in advance. Call 905-623-2734.  $10. All ages. It’s the end of an era, as after more than 35 years circling the globe, the curtain is coming down on the touring chapter of The Nylons’ illustrious and legendary career. The iconic Canadian a cappella legends will play the UOIT Regent Theatre to say goodbye to the dedicated fans who have supported and embraced them over the years. 8 pm. $60 (only a few tickets are left).  50 King Street East, Oshawa.

Music and art mix at the popular monthly event, RMG Fridays! The Robert McLaughlin Gallery stays open late to showcase the new exhibition Jay Dart: Greetings from Yawnder! with all things mystical and magical, including performances from The Unfaithful Dog and Kim the Lion, and make your own Magical Mystery Beard in the studio to wear during the evening. The RMG is also opening Emily Smit-Dicks: Fichu in Gallery A and Karolina Baker: Do You Hear What I Hear? Investigating Sonic Art in the Art Lab, and our community partner Visual Feast will be creating magical face paintings.  7 pm to 10 pm.  72 Queen Street.  FREE. All ages, all welcome.  Cash bar. 

The Moustache Club hosts the Professors of Funk 3rd Anniversary! Join Oshawa and Durham’s 9-piece wonder of musical flavour as they deliver the Stevie Wonder, Sly & The Family Stone, Marvin Gaye, Parliament, Isley Brothers, Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, The Spinners (and more!) that keep your soul satisfied. 10 pm to 1:30 am. 15 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa. $10 cover.
