Catch the acclaimed production Tuesdays with Morrie, a story of friendship, ageing, and living life to the fullest. The Dancyn Theatre, 681 Dnipro Boulevard, Oshawa. 8 pm. Tickets $21, book online.  Runs until October 15, 2016. 

The Oshawa Little Theatre presents The Underpants, where Steve Martin brings his comic genius and sophisticated literary style to Carl Sternheim’s classic 1910 farce.  62 Russet Avenue. Tickets $25. Runs until October 15, 2016

It’s Full Throttle Fridays at the Moustache Club with Room 237 playing live. Doors at 9 pm. 15 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa. 

Whitby band Rhyme Jaws play the Arts Resource Centre, part of an evening of all ages entertainment and visual arts activities. Hosted by the Oshawa Youth Council. 7 pm to 10 pm. 45 Queen Street, Oshawa. FREE.

Check out Culture Days celebrations in Oshawa! On October 1, 2016, come to Civic Square (in front of City Hall), for bucket drumming, interactive musical instrument demonstrations, sketching, Indian dance, sidewalk chalking, and more.  Plus, you can take the kids to the nearby Robert McLaughlin Gallery for a mini-makers session in the Studio!  1 pm to 3 pm.  FREE.

Lace up and head to beautiful Lakeview Park for the Run for the Cure, the largest single-day, volunteer-led event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause!  Run or walk the 1 km or 5 km route. Funds raised support research that saves and improves the lives of women with breast cancer as well as support services to help all those affected by the disease.
