Soak up the historic ambience of the grounds of the Oshawa Museum while relaxing your mind and body! Yoga in the Garden runs until August 19 2016, and all you need is a water bottle and a yoga mat.  1450 Simcoe Street South. 10 am – 11 am. FREE, but donations are welcome.  No registration required. 

Start your weekend at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery for RMG Fridays!  Tour The Singing Alarm exhibition of street artist, lyricist, poet, photographer and urban explorer Jerm iX. Chill out to the warm sounds of summer as Durham musicians Rory Taillon and Patrick Dorie strum us through the evening, or head to the Studio for hands-on art creation. 72 Queen Street.  7 pm – 10pm.  All ages welcome!  Cash Bar (with a generous pour!)

The Moustache Club presents First Funk Friday! Discover the sounds of Turbo Street Funk and Hairy Holler for an amazing night of funk inspired groove.  15 Simcoe Street North. Doors at 9 pm. $10 before midnight, $5 after.

Learn the basics of paper mache at The LivingRoom Community Art Studio while creating a Puppet or Mask for use in our Giant Puppet Parade on August 25th at Culture Squared! 149 Simcoe Street South. 12 pm. All ages and abilities are welcome, Pay-What-You-Can in support of the LivingRoom project. Check out Built in Oshawa:  The McLaughlin Carriages of the Oshawa Museum for a rare opportunity to see inside the Oshawa Museum Drive Shed and view carriages made by the McLaughlin Carriage Company. 1450 Simcoe Street South. 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. $5 per person, and tour of Drive Shed and Oshawa Museum is included. 

Are you driving one?  Head to the Canadian Automotive Museum to check out Built in Oshawa, and learn the history of the cars manufactured in Oshawa over the last 100 years, like McLaughlins, Buicks, and Chevrolets. On this tour, guides will highlight cars manufactured at both the north and south plants in Oshawa. This tour is included with regular admission. 12:30 pm to 3 pm. 99 Simcoe Street South.  $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for youth.
