Happy Canada Day! Here are all the awesome things to do in Oshawa this weekend:

July 1, 2016

Head Lakeview Park for the City of Oshawa’s Canada Day bash!  Enjoy live music and entertainment, a carnival midway with games and rides (these cost extra, so take some cash!), a Beach Zone, and Family Zone that operates between 2 pm and 6 pm.  Fireworks start at 10 pm! Learn about  Oshawa’s history by touring Guy and Henry Houses, part of the Oshawa Museum!  Lakeview Park. 2 pm to 6 pm. $5. 

Join the Professors of Funk at the Moustache Club for a special Canada Day performance!  15 Simcoe Street North. Doors at 9 pm. $10.   

Celebrate our nation’s special day with Pete Walker from KX96 FM, live on location at The Corral for a night of country tunes! 433 Simcoe Street South. 10 pm to 12 am.

July 2, 2016

Visit the Canadian Automotive Museum for a special Canadian Car Tour!  Learn about Canada’s automotive pioneers and success stories, as well as con artists and scandals. This tour is included with regular admission. 99 Simcoe Street South. 1 pm to 2 pm.  Adults $10, children $5. 

Cheer on the home team and enjoy a day of football at Oshawa Civic Field!  Hawkeyes Ontario Varsity Football teams will play during the afternoon and evening. Click here for the full schedule.  Doors open at 12 pm.  99 Thornton Road South.  $5 Adults, $2 children/seniors, under 5s free.
