Start your weekend with yoga in the Oshawa Museum’s heritage garden, in partnership with the Durham Yogi Community!  No pre-registration required, just bring a mat and water bottle. Lakeview Park. 10 am to 11 am.  FREE, donations to the Museum are welcome.  

Check out the Moustache Club for the Pictures of Richard demo release with a performance by Surf Cactus! 15 Simcoe Street North. $10 and includes a free copy of the demo. 8:30 pm to 12 am. 19+.

It’s the closing night of Fiesta Week, so grab your Fiesta Passport and check out Oshawa’s cultural diversity and delicious, authentic cuisine before it’s too late!  Scratching your head over what Fiesta Week actually is? Enjoy performances by Ariko, All Our Relations Métis Drum Circle, Gravel Road Fiddlers, Leah Belle and Amy Pinkus. Plus workshops, fiddling, jigging, drumming, storytelling, presenters, children’s activities, voyageur games, silent auction, arts and crafts, Aboriginal vendors and food. Opening Ceremonies at noon on Saturday and Sunday. Memorial Park.  Saturday 10 am to 8 pm, Sunday 10 am to 4 pm.  FREE.  

Curious about ham radio?  Join members of the North Shore Amateur Radio Club at national Amateur Radio Field Day and learn about the science and skill of amateur radio. It’s on Canadian Art’s must-see list for this week, so head to the Robert McLaughlin Gallery for an Artist Talk by Laura Madera in conversation with Nadja Pelkey as they discuss phenomena and place in relation to the exhibition The Angle of the Sun’s Rays.  72 Queen Street. 1 pm to 3 pm.  FREE.
