Drop by the Robert McLaughlin Gallery for RMG Fridays, an evening of folklore and myth with Celtic music by Ugly Horse! Paint fairy doors in the studio, catch My Vivid Life’s:  Ireland Webisode in the Friday Film Features Screening Room, and celebrate the opening of Holly King:  Edging Toward the Mysterious.  Date:  January 8, 2016.  Location:  72 Queen Street. Start the New Year off with wellness! Create your very own self-care kit at the Living Room Community Art Studio, filled with sensory items to help relax, inspire and ground you. Materials will be supplied, but please feel free to bring along any specific containers or special items that make you feel good! Head to the Oshawa Community Museum for Sunday FUNday:  Art and History, an art session for all ages where participants are invited to interpret the museum’s portrait of Harriet Cock – one of Oshawa’s early female land owners.  Supplies included.  Date:  January 10, 2016.  Location:  Oshawa Community Museum, Lakeview Park.  Time:  12 pm to 4 pm.  Cost:  $5.  Drop in.  

Enjoy free family fun at OPG Second Sundays at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery!  Create an oversized collaborative mural, build unusual landscapes, print quirky characters and go on a scavenger hunt – for free!  Date:  January 10, 2016.  Location:  72 Queen Street.  Time:  1 pm to 3 pm.  Cost:  FREE.  Drop-in.

Visit the Canadian Automotive Museum for a New Acquisitions Tour!  Join CAM Curator Alex Gates as he discusses vehicles and objects that have recently come into the collection. The tour will include the 1927 Dodge Brothers, 1909 Kennedy, and 1983 DeLorean, as well as other objects and archival materials. Regular admission rates apply. Date:

The Durham Shoestring Performers present The Book of Esther, by Leanna Brodie, directed by Carolyn Wilson.
