Capture your special day at one of Oshawa’s wedding photography destinations:
Parkwood Estate (270 Simcoe Street North): Magnificent grounds, heritage gardens, architectural elements and statuary, Parkwood Estate can accommodate parties of up to 20 for an outdoor wedding photography session. Advance registration is required, and the photo permit fee of $250 provides two hours of photo time. Visit the website for full details.
Oshawa Golf Club (160 Alexandra Street): You don’t have to be a golfer to appreciate the mature gardens, scenic trees and lush green grass at this well-established private club in Oshawa. Advance booking required, so contact the club directly for further information.
Lakeview Park (Simcoe Street South): Lake Ontario creates a magnificent backdrop for photographs, which is why this south-end park and beach are a favourite for wedding and engagement pictures. Contact the City of Oshawa at email@example.com for permit requirements before heading out.
Somerset Park (west end of Switzer Drive): Back in the ‘80s, the Somerset Park pool was the summer hot spot for North Oshawa school kids, but when the facility was closed by the city a decade ago, the park was largely forgotten. While the pool may be gone, what remains in the park is a wedding photographer’s dream: huge weeping willows, grassy, flower-dotted fields and a small, picturesque creek with a walking trail along the banks. Contact the City of Oshawa at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to your big day to confirm permit requirements.
Oshawa Botanical Gardens (155 Arena Street): Home of the annual Peony Festival, winding pathways, stunning gardens and architectural features abound at Oshawa’s Botanical Gardens. Contact the Facility Bookings Office at the City of Oshawa for information about wedding photography.
